My friend dear reader,
how are you? how was your week? I hope you had an inspiring, sun-drenched week. I’ve spent some very productive days at the Ceramic Studio, producing some commissioned work for a new hotel here in Vienna. Which is a lot of fun. On Tuesday I finally got rid of my finger brace which means I’m 100% back in my original state. And my sister came for a visit yesterday (she is a doc) and installed a private drip bar during our family get-together which was both bizarre and very fun. You should’ve seen us: my mom, my husband and I hanging on Vitamin C and B infusions while chatting away. A moment to remember haha. But I feel a bit fresher and more energized today and the fact that we got 16°C today also helps a lot to finally feel myself again - after weeks of sickness and misery. I AM BACK.
BUTTER ON MY MIND
Another thing I did not know existed is butter art and to be honest: I like what I see. It’s gaga and totally unnecessary but tbh I would also cheer if someone would serve my starter bread with a cute shell or sea urchin butter. What about you??
NEW IN
As mentioned in the last stack I got my hands on these Mango Mesh flats and they’ve arrived last Thursday. As I promised to report I can say that a) I will keep them since they fit really nice and b) they run true to size, I’d say. For those of you wondering.
THE BROWN PHASE
We all know by now that I’m currently incorporating more brown into my wardrobe. It wasn’t planned but somehow I’m drawn to more chocolate hues right now. The reason could be that brown is a bit softer than black and as we are approaching spring my sartorial mind wants to embrace the lighter/softer days.
But now my interest in brown shades seem to shift over to my interior preferences. I mean, it could be worse. I’ve always loved these mid-century modern vibes, dark wood, homey feeling. I like the fact that brown gives a nice stage for white accessories and lighter tones. Somehow everything looks more sophisticated and mature. In a good way. Let’s see where this road will take me…
ON MY MIND
At HOUSE OF AUSTER we recently stocked these beautiful beautiful earrings from Revi and I can’t stop thinking of them. I will definitely buy a pair, though I’m not sure yet whether to get silver or bicolor. What would you choose?
That’s it for now, Substack tells me I’ve reached the email length limit.
I wish you a wonderful start into the new week. Talk to you soon!
xx
