Dear friend,
first of all I want to welcome all new Family Members to this lil’ Club. I’m extremely happy to see this community growing and writing to you brings me lots of joy. So thank you! I’ve tried the CHAT function lately and please don’t hold back asking questions or sharing requests with us all. A good old chat session brings back all the good memories…
And don’t forget to join my referral hub since I came up with some pretty cool rewards I thought you might like…
But now let’s dive into the world of Spring Fashion. To be honest in January I had zero interest in buying something (except for some Sale bash that escalated quickly) and February didn’t feel quite right either. Especially because I spend most hours in the ceramic studio which is not very fashionable yet more dusty and dirty. BUT I’ve discovered an internal Spring awakening and caught myself browsing a bit too often through my favorite e-stores. Danger Zone! The good thing with having a mostly minimalistic Capsule Wardrobe is that I own lots of basics that I could wear each and every year again. But there are some extra pieces that caught my eye for March.
THE LOOK I’M GOING TO RECREATE
This Look from The Row Spring Collection shouts CAROLAAAA all over. I own a beautiful charcoal oversized Blazer from H&M Studio that I will use for the restyling + my new Toteme Slim Ankle Boots (the one from the sale bash, only that they weren’t on sale haha my bad!). A big black Tote Bag is also easy to find in my closet but strangely I’m lacking of:
A grey pair of tailored trousers (ordered the Arket ones from the collage, let’s see)
A sharp tailored black shirt (a basic layer that is still missing in my closet)
WHAT I NEED IN MARCH
Well, at least that’s what I’m telling myself. I need/want a pair of mesh ballet flats that are not twice the price of a monthly grocery haul (looking at you, Alaia & The Row). But I also wanna feel the March breeze on my toes. So these newly launched Mango mesh flats felt like a good budget option. I’ve ordered them yesterday and will report on the fit.
My inner voice also told me that I need a brown woven bag. I blame it on my Saved Files on Insta, where way too many of these Intrecciatos popped up. But same with the mesh flates: I’m not willing to spend 2000€+ on Bottega (even on Vestiaire you won’t find something under 1000€). So I’m lusting for this Dragon Diffusion Bag or this option.
And I’m planning on restocking some basic T-Shirts for Spring.
WHAT I DON’T NEED IN MARCH
Bad weather, first of all. haha
Then I don’t need a leather jacket for Spring because I’ve finally found the perfect brown version. I also don’t need any new Blazer (which does not mean I won’t fall in love with one this season…) and I finally found a budget-friendly pair of loose-fitting Jeans in dark grey. I also don’t need any more ankle boots or sneakers. So I’m able to concentrate on the few things that are on my wishlist for now.
SPRING WISHLIST SUMMARY
A brown woven bag
Basic T-shirts in Black and Grey
Mesh Flats
A Black Shirt
Manolo Blahnik Maysale Pumps (alltime wishlist)
Birkenstock Boston Slides (on the hunt for years)
Now it’s your turn. What’s on your Spring List? And what won’t you buy this season?
Let’s talk soon!
xx,
CAROLA
Hi Carola, Love this! I have the St Agni bag you’ve listed and I love it so much. The colour is stunning IRL 😍 I’ve just started a substack on my journey to sustainable style (My Style Rush), would love if you swing by! My wish list for March on there! x
